The M-CHAT is a brief autism screening tool designed for toddlers between 16-30 months old. It is not a diagnostic test, and results should always be interpreted with care and context.

As you answer, think about what your child usually does. If you’ve seen something occasionally but it isn’t typical for your child, select “No.” Remember that there are no right or wrong answers, and that this tool only captures a small snapshot of your child’s development.
